1 lb.Woudstra seasoned pork sausage 1 onion, chopped seasoned stuffing cubes 1 cup miracle whip
½ cup. Parmesan cheese
salt, pepper & dried parsley to taste 2 – 3 8 oz. cartons of fresh
mushrooms
( Larger mushrooms work best)
Brown sausage and onion in a fry pan, breaking the sausage up finely. Add
water and seasonings. Bring to a boil and add enough stuffing cubes to
absorb all the liquid. Remove from the heat. In another bowl, mix the
miracle whip and cheese. Add ½ of the mixture to the sausage mixture.
Gently clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. Stuff the mushroom caps
with the sausage mixture. Spread the reserved miracle whip mixture over
each mushroom and place on a baking dish. Bake at 350 for about 30
minutes or longer if you make them ahead and refrigerate them before
baking. This recipe will have even mushroom haters eating them.
